September 14, 2009
Dear Friends and Customers:
We hope this letter finds all of you doing well. 2009 has been another blessed year for our family and we certainly pray the sam is true for yours!
In July, a steer we sold last fall to Denny Whitcomb (a 2009 Chestnut Ridge graduate) was the Champion Purebred Steer at the Bedford County Fair. Denny did an outstanding job with this steer and we are as pleased with this accomplishment as Denny is. We send best wishes with Denny as he starts college this fall. We continue to be very fortunate in marketing our purebred Angus stock throughout the Northern Tier of our great country.
Again, this fall, we will have for sale high quality natural finished beef. This years' group are growing very well and will available earlier than last year. The first group should be available September and all should be finished by the end of the year. Our prices this year will be $1.75 for half and whole beef and spit quarters at $1.90 per dress weight pound.
As always, we are working with Sipes in Everett (814-652-2714) to process your beef. Sipes will process your beef the way you want it. (click here for a beef cuts explanation and chart)
If you have not already reserved your beef for this year, please call anyone of us. Also, if you know of a friend or neighbor who would like high quality home grown beef, please give them our phone number.

Direct from our farm to your fork...
- Buying meat directly from the farm means you know exactly where your food comes from, and how it's treated on the way from the fields to your plate.
- With increasing concerns being raised over food safety, farm-direct food sourcing is becoming a growing trend. If you know your farmer, you can trust the way your food is raised and prepared.
- Plus, buying locally-grown food is a great way to help the environment. The less distance it has to cover to get to you, the less fuel gets burned, and the less carbon dioxide goes into our atmosphere.
- We're always delighted to get to know our customers, and we'll be happy to show you around our farm at any time. We want you to see how much care and love we give our cattle, so you can trust the quality of the beef you’re eating!
